User Research, UI/UX, Wireframing, Prototyping

Venture Vibe combines research-driven design — including user interviews, personas, and journey mapping — with the development of a clear and intuitive interface, enabling users to plan and customize trips, individually or in groups.

The online travel market has shown consistent growth in recent years, with projections indicating a 14.8% annual growth rate through 2031, according to Statista. This growth is driven by several factors, including increased willingness to spend on travel, improved booking platforms, wider internet accessibility, and government support for tourism.

A competitive analysis revealed that existing platforms already offer features such as collaborative planning, interactive maps, customizable itineraries, recommendations, and expense management. These insights helped define both the opportunities and expectations within the market.

Through a structured user research process, including interviews, key patterns began to emerge. Users expressed a strong interest in group travel, personalized recommendations, pre-built itineraries, and tools for comparing prices, schedules, and options through filters.

While group travel was often associated with positive experiences such as social interaction and shared moments, it also introduced challenges. Differences in personality and difficulties in coordination were identified as major pain points.

These insights informed the development of user personas, synthesizing behaviors, needs, and frustrations gathered during the research phase.

The platform’s features were directly shaped by user personas, ensuring that each decision was grounded in real user needs.

For example, Daniela — an enthusiastic but forgetful traveler — inspired the creation of a customizable checklist feature, allowing users to track and organize essential items before and during their trips.

Gonçalo, who often struggles to reach consensus when traveling in groups, led to the development of a “Randomizer” feature — a simple tool that allows users to randomly select the next activity, helping resolve decision fatigue and group disagreements.

Pedro, values simplicity and efficiency. His needs led to the development of an integrated expense management system, enabling users to track and manage shared costs without relying on external tools.

By aligning features with user behaviors and expectations, the platform establishes a clear purpose behind each functionality.
